All the information you need to design your benchmark page is on this page. We tried to make it easy with information and design templates. First you will need to install Inkscape on your computer which is best to create your design. Inkscape is a vector graphics editor for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. It’s free and open source.
The templates are made to keep it easy to create your benchmark. The font in BLUE is the info for each template to change to your selected design. It can also be deleted if not applicable.
Key Steps for Benchmark Design
To place text on a circle so that it reads from left to right on both the top and bottom, two circles must be used as seen on the left. The larger circle has been flipped horizontally (Object → Flip Horizontal (H)) so the text is placed inside the circle starting from the left. The smaller circle has been rotated 180 degrees. (The path of a circle when first drawn starts from the rightmost point. The circle must be rotated or flipped to move the starting point of the path to the left.) By turning the circles into half circles and setting the text to center-justified, the text will automatically be centered at the top or bottom of the circle. Note that kerning may be necessary as the characters of text placed on the outside of a curve will be too far apart while those on the inside of a curve will be too close together.
